57 Companies from Türkiye Included in the SEA A List!

According to the results of CDP’s 2024 Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA), 57 companies from Türkiye have qualified for the SEA A List by demonstrating leadership in climate action across their supply chains. This achievement highlights Türkiye’s growing commitment to sustainable supply chain management and its strengthening corporate leadership in climate action.

What is SEA?

CDP’s Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA) is a global evaluation framework that assesses companies’ leadership and effectiveness in addressing climate change within their supply chains. Previously known as the Supplier Engagement Rating (SER), this assessment examines how companies engage with their suppliers and integrate environmental considerations into their business strategies.

CDP believes that companies with significant purchasing power have the potential to drive substantial environmental change throughout their supply chains. The SEA aims to guide companies toward best practices in supplier engagement and to recognize those that demonstrate leadership in this area. Each year, the Supplier Engagement Leaders List is published, and companies awarded an A score receive global recognition for their performance.

How Is the Assessment Conducted?

The CDP SEA is based on companies’ responses to the CDP Climate Change Corporate Questionnaire and evaluates performance across five key areas:

Risk Management Processes (15%)

Governance and Business Strategy (15%)

Supplier Engagement (35%)

Scope 3 Emissions (including verification) (20%)

Targets (15%)

Companies’ SEA scores are calculated as a weighted average of these five areas and are graded on a scale from A to F. To achieve an A score and be included in the SEA Leaders List, companies must demonstrate concrete climate-related actions across their supply chains and report their progress transparently.
