SKD Türkiye held the launch event of the Reporting Matters Project 2024 Report, which aims to support companies in preparing their sustainability, integrated, and annual reports in alignment with global reporting standards and in a more transparent manner. Prepared using the methodology developed by the umbrella organization WBCSD – World Business Council for Sustainable Development and the consultancy firm Radley Yeldar, the report—published for the eighth time this year—evaluated the reports of 77 member companies and included examples of good practices.
Mirhan Köroğlu Göğüş, CDP Türkiye Country Director, who also wrote one of the forewords of the report, took part as a speaker in the panel session organized within the scope of the event. In her speech, she stated that, in light of CDP Türkiye’s 2024 findings, companies are increasingly addressing climate risks at the board level, that 80% alignment with IFRS S2 and 68% alignment with ESRS have been achieved in reporting, and that these rates are in line with global averages.
She emphasized that, in the upcoming period, the integration of nature-related risks into reporting processes, the translation of transition plans into investment plans, the science-based setting of climate and nature targets, and strategic transformation covering the supply chain are of critical importance.
