CDP Türkiye Country Director Mirhan Köroğlu Göğüş attended the roundtable meeting titled “Towards COP31: The Role of the Private Sector in the Climate Action Agenda,” held in Istanbul on 21 May 2026.
Organized in collaboration with UN Global Compact Türkiye, the United Nations in Türkiye, and the Zero Waste Foundation, the meeting aimed to address the role of the business community in climate action ahead of COP31, which will take place in Antalya in November 2026.
Held with the participation of COP31 High-Level Climate Champion Samed Ağırbaş, the meeting focused on topics including the transition to a low-carbon economy, mitigation and decarbonization roadmaps, climate finance, climate adaptation and resilience, as well as corporate climate target-setting and reporting processes, within a multi-stakeholder dialogue framework.
Bringing together representatives from public institutions, the private sector, international organizations, and civil society, the meeting provided a platform to exchange views on collaboration opportunities and solution areas that can strengthen the contribution of the business world to the COP31 process.
