CDP Türkiye and the British Embassy in Ankara met in Istanbul to discuss the climate and energy agenda. The meeting was attended by Rory Johnson, Deputy Head of Economics and Prosperity at the British Embassy in Ankara, Şule Erdal, Climate Officer, and Mirhan Köroğlu Göğüş, Country Director of CDP Türkiye.

The agenda included discussions on international climate negotiations in the context of the COP30 and COP31 processes. Views were also exchanged on Türkiye’s climate policies, energy transition, and net-zero targets. The meeting further addressed the role of the private sector in climate action and recent developments in climate and sustainability reporting. Mirhan Köroğlu Göğüş shared information on CDP’s ongoing work in Türkiye. In addition, ongoing efforts and potential areas for collaboration within the framework of UK–Türkiye cooperation on energy and climate ahead of COP30 and COP31 were discussed.
