This year CDP, on behalf of investors, is requesting over 7,500 companies to respond to the climate change, forests, and water security questionnaires. The responses submitted will provide investors with the world’s largest, most complete source of self-reported corporate environmental data. This disclosure is crucial in driving action toward a low carbon, water-secure future.
In 2020 over 2,500 companies disclosed to CDP, but there are still many major corporations in high-impact sectors that are not capitalizing on the benefits of disclosing environmental information.
For the fifth year, CDP is launching our Non-Disclosure Campaign; a parallel campaign to our overall disclosure request, aimed at further encouraging companies to disclose. The campaign focuses on companies that failed to disclose the previous year. Companies engaged in the campaign are more than twice as likely to disclose as evidenced in our 2020 report.
Please note that the deadline to sign up for this collective engagement campaign is 29th March 2021. If you have any questions or would like more information on what engaging as a co-signer or lead investor entails, please feel free to reach out to non-discloser@cdp.net or your regional CDP contact for this campaign.
