CDP Turkey 2016 Climate Change Program conducted by Sabancı University Corporate Governance Forum of Turkey and sponsored by Çimsa with reporting and rating support of Deloitte Turkey has announced the report. The report was announced to the public on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at the Zorlu Performing Arts Center with the support of Zorlu Holding.

Providing a platform where companies can present their climate change strategies to international corporate investors, CDP is considered the world’s most prestigious and widespread environmental initiative. CDP Turkey 2016 Climate Change Report, which contains an analysis of the responses to the 50 companies included CDP from Turkey.

Companies that hold 50% of the total market value of BIST-100 companies explained to investors and other stakeholders how they manage their climate change risks and opportunities through the CDP platform. 91% of these companies stated that they integrate climate change into their business strategies, and 94% of them handled climate change at senior and board level.

“CDP Global A list” and “CDP Turkey Climate Leaders” awards also found their owners in the event. This year in “CDP Global A List” where 193 companies that responding CDP and leading climate change action, there were two companies from Turkey: Arçelik and Garanti Bank. These two companies received their leadership awards during the event. On the other hand, Brisa, Coca-Cola Beverages, Çimsa, EKOTEN Textile, Migros, Pınar Milk and Tofas has found worthy of the “CDP Turkey Climate Leaders Awards”.

In the “CDP A List CEO Panel” moderated by Posta Newspaper Ankara Representative and CNN Türk Weekend Program Presenter Hakan Çelik, Arçelik’s CEO Hakan Bulgurlu and Garanti Bank’s CEO, who took part in the CDP Global A List, Fuat Erbil were the speakers.
